"The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch.

i think it is a good book to read. a very good book to read. because it is full with inspiring words and story.
this book is the real story about the author, Prof Randy Pausch.
if you playing a lot with internet, i think you'll know about him. last 2 years, he became an internet sensation about his "last lecture". just type his name at youtube, and you can watch his last lecture.
actually, he was a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon. he achieved a lot of things in his life before he was diagnosed to have pancreatic cancer and it is a terminal disease. because he is a lecturer at that time, he decided to give his last lecture. but the lecture he gave, "really achieving your childhood dreams" wasnt about dying. it was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment. it was about LIVING.
He did everything to longer his life including doing the "whipple surgery". in this surgery, the surgeon will remove the pancreas, duodenum, some part of liver and stomach. very radical. then, he need to undergo chemotherapy. for me, to get through all these obstacles, he must be a very strong man. but then, a few months later, the cancer metastasize to his liver and all the doctor can do is giving him a palliative @ supportive care only.
he accepted it and enjoyed his life till the end.
he died on 25th of July 2008 at the age 47.
seriously, if you have time and enough money, go and grab this book.no regret. because i already read it twice. it means, this book is enjoyable.
